The Kog Hills story

Kog Hills was born from a simple idea – to create an experience that combines the best of the wine landscape of the Jeruzalem Hills with adventure, genuine hospitality, and quality togetherness. This part of Slovenia is known for its picturesque vineyards, premium wines, and people who passionately carry on a long tradition of viticulture. The idea for the project arose from a desire to present this landscape to visitors in a different way. Instead of a classic tourist visit, we wanted to create an experience that truly connects guests with the environment, people, and stories behind the wine-growing region of Kog. Thus, Kog Hills was born – a boutique wine-adventure experience where guests explore vineyards by buggy, visit local winemakers, taste premium wines, and enjoy cuisine that reflects the character of the area. Kog Hills is not just a tourism project. It is a story about connecting people, nature, and tradition into an experience that allows guests to discover the wine landscape in a more personal and authentic way.

Vision and purpose

The vision of Kog Hills is to create one of the most recognizable wine experiences in northeastern Slovenia - an experience that combines adventure, wine, cuisine, and socializing in an authentic wine environment. Our purpose is to offer guests something more than just an excursion or a tasting - we want to create a space where people can connect, exchange ideas, and enjoy moments that remain in memory.

We believe that the best experiences share three common elements - good company, an authentic environment, and the stories of the people who create the space. That is why Kog Hills is based on collaboration with local winemakers, farms, and restaurateurs.

Our team

Behind the Kog Hills project is a team of people who combine an entrepreneurial approach, deep knowledge of the local environment and a sincere passion for creating unique experiences. Our team believes that the best experiences are those that connect people, nature and local stories. That is why we designed the project to allow guests to truly experience the wine landscape of Jeruzalemske Gorice, its winemakers, cuisine and views. By combining organizational knowledge, local partnerships and attention to every detail, we create an experience that goes beyond ordinary tourism and offers guests something truly special.

Boutique approach

Kog Hills is designed as a boutique program for smaller groups of guests. This approach allows for a more personal experience, more authentic conversations, and a true understanding of the wine landscape. Instead of mass tourism, we believe in quality, individual approach, and creating moments that matter.
